Things change. Sometimes without anyone taking notice of it… and the last thing I noticed that changed was Capri-Sonne. Yes, I mean the well known juice that comes in those puffy packages different from any other juice packages. It’s not a metal can, it’s not tetra pak carton, it’s Capri-Sonne!
Capri-Sonne was elected to be my latest vacation official drink. During a late afternoon, the beach brought to my attention the ‘new’ fact.
The orange straw, that comes firmly attached to the back of the package, no longer falls inside. The package design has been remade to avoid that. I don’t exactly what changed, but the fact is that my first grade school trips horror is no longer possible!
Whenever the straw didn’t fall into the package, it was just because the straw pierced the package front-to-back. That is also very unlikely because the new design includes a very soft membrane very easy to pierce.
I hadn’t had a Capri-Sonne in a long time, but now that I’ve tried it again… it brings memories.
Campinos are hard working men (from Ribatejo, Portugal) that work the cattle in the fields, also called Lezirias. My village has an annual traditional festival, in which they show the traditional ways of rounding up the cattle.

This was my good deed for the day.
I was coming home after enjoying the after lunch coffee when I heard a cat “meowing” like crazy. At first I didn’t understood where it was coming from, but after a while it became clear that the cry for help came from the bottom of an abandoned well.
Using some of the available tools (boards and tubes that were covering the well) didn’t help to rescue the drowning kitten, so, I had to run home for a bucket and some cord. After a while, with the help of a passing neighbor, the little kitten was inside the bucket and free from the sludgy depth. The kitten was in miserable shape after that forced “swimming lesson”, at it seemed more like a ball of tar and sludge than any living thing.

After a quick wash in warn water and some serious shivering, the kitten was still scared but much better looking. And, because this story ends with a happy ending, “Lucky” is now the newest family member.

This might seem a stupid post… but, due to fact that the CTRL+Enter key sequence works in both Word and Powerpoint to insert a newline in a table cell contain text, and in my mind, it should also work in Excel! This is not the case. When using Excel the CTRL+Enter sequence is interpreted as a simple Enter keystroke.
Why does Excel uses ALT+Enter, instead of the usual keystroke sequence? This fact has always baffled me…
It was a couple a days ago… 28 years old! A nice round number, in the company of the closest family.
Thank you!
The long time since the last post doesn’t mean that the work is taking all my time… it just means that I’m on a well deserved vacations!
The first week was spent near the beach. Although the weather was usually cloudy during the morning, the afternoon always brought a very good hot sun. An excellent weather to enjoy the beach.

After the beach comes some rest, maybe interrupted with an occasional trip to an attraction nearby. I really need the rest… but, essencially it’s time for the family.
